Have you realize why some of old-timer photographers that shoot technically perfect still can’t produce any jaw-drop images? By knowing the Basic Photography, you can shoot technically perfect pictures already. Without the Arts of photography, you technically perfect pictures can’t really be appreciated artistically.

APW is an advance module that has been created to give some guidelines on how to frame pictures that artistically nice and meaningful. Emphasis will be given into all these subjects;

3. Symmetry
4. Dynamic range
5. Basic lighting
6. Colour & Contrast
7. Line & Pattern
8. Framing
9. And much more that will be taught by action learning method. More practice than classroom.

Advance beginner / Advance amateur / Hobbyist

This advance module required you to at least have the basic photography handling. If you know what is aperture, shutter, ISO and Focal range, then you can come and join us. If not, we like to suggest you to go to out BPW module first. This 2 days workshops will be full with a lot of hands-on training directly by Saiful Nang himself and his assistants which also professional photographers.

The learning concept is, theory – sample studies – practice – correction – practice – correction – you understand.

We always have this philosophy… “If we read, we’ll forget, if we see, we’ll remember, if we do, we’ll understand” .

So, we don’t plan to talk much in our workshop. We’ll give the best on the practical session by tutoring all participants one by one.

Ever wonder why expensive cameras still can’t make a good picture? It’s because of the Arts of Photography has been taken for granted. People can take a very good portrait of an old lady technically. When we said technically, which mean the picture is well exposed, well executed, well focused and well done. However, a portrait could be boring if you don’t put the X-Factor inside it. This X-Factor is the Arts of Photography. It’s the matter where you position the subject (old lady), how you frame it, how you arrange it, how you communicate with the subject will make the people cry, laugh, giggle, sad just by looking at a piece of picture. Can you imagine that?

That is Arts of Seeing (Photography) which become the main content of APW (Advance Photography Workshop).

The workshops will be cordially hosted by University Malaya. Detail of the venue will be given to the participants.
